Are you still using FRx? Did you know that it is easy to migrate away from FRx today. Our process is painless and with Vivid Reports you have a complete replacement and alternative to FRx. There are many benefits to doing this especially since Microsoft is ending support and maintenance for FRx for all non-Dynamics ERP customers.
Our Process is simple:
- We receive a copy of your FRx Row definitions. Rows are the most complex and labor intensive aspect of your reports.
- We translate the FRx Rows into Vivid Report filters that are then imported through our “Filter Builder”. All of this is done in Excel and you can make any changes you require.
- Trees and columns are a snap to create in Vivid Reports and you will want to do this to take full advantage of the new functionality. Plus you can now use Excel for all of your calculations – simple!
How Is Vivid Reports™ Different From Microsoft FRx®?
Reporting and Analysis
- Vivid Reports uses a “building block” approach to report building allowing non-technical staff to create virtually any finance report they require with minimal training.
- Rapid report development using features such as definition export and import, auto-create definitions, and the ability to reuse Microsoft Excel® files to provide new views without having to reformat them.

- Uses Microsoft SQL Server® for fast performance with less network traffic by reducing client-side processing. Reports generate efficiently even over slow networks.
- Vivid Reports has its own database that has been optimized for reporting and synchronizes with your ERP(s) without requiring any changes to those systems. This eliminates queries made back to the ERP directly as reports are being viewed and analysis is performed.
